More from the top floor...

For this second Top Floor Sessions EP, I've written music to accompany some of the many Dictaphone sound recordings that I've made over the years. Some of these recordings date back to over a decade ago and have documented holidays, nature sounds, conversations and more. Other recordings used here are more recent and, as with the first Top Floor Sessions release, relate to my new location.

'Sum Diner Mathematics', for example, relates to assisting my young daughter to add numbers whilst sat in a cafe; 'Jellyfish and Porpoise' documents a novel way of helping the car driver reverse out on to a busy road; 'Calshot' and 'Overstrand' musically commemorate visits to these two UK beaches; and 'Still Praying for Rain' records the rain falling in my back garden, while casting a nod in the direction of a long, lost former bandmate who had once written a song called "Pray for Rain".

This release is also available as a fabulous looking, limited-edition CD!

All downloads include two bonus tracks featuring demo ideas recorded straight into said Dictaphone.
